Porcelain Veneers in London

These dental additions are thin tooth-shaped ‘contact lenses’ that cover the front of the teeth to which they are applied, and we can carry this procedure out effectively in our Harley Street district practice.

Before our clinicians commence treatment, they will take you step-by-step through a sequence of appointments and procedures conducive to an optimal result.

Unhappy with your smile? Porcelain Veneers May be an Option.

Porcelain veneers are a rapid, aesthetic, and safe way to correct unattractive front teeth. They offer a number of benefits:

  • They are strong and long-lasting.
  • They will not discolour or catch stains.
  • Durable and stain-resistant, porcelain veneers are matched to the colour, style and size of your teeth.
  • The whole procedure takes less time than other corrective treatment options.
  • Since porcelain is glass-like in nature (ceramic), this type of veneer has a great advantage over other cosmetic bonding techniques, leading to a more natural and consistent appearance.

Porcelain veneers also help with teeth that are too small or short, do not have an ideal shape, teeth with small to large gaps between them or teeth that are severely discoloured.

Sometimes, this can result from medication taken during childhood. While composite veneers require check-ups and aren’t famed for their durability, porcelain usually lasts between 12-25 years and isn’t considered to need much maintenance, besides regular oral hygiene appointments.

Smile Design

  • This is considered to be one of the most important stages of cosmetic work at our practice.
  • During your initial appointment, our clinicians will discuss with your expectations, particularly regarding what exactly about your smile you would like to improve.
  • At this stage, we usually take clinical photos of the patient’s teeth in order to further analyse the mouth. This facilitates detailed communication with our lab technicians. We also take impressions.
  • The creation of a new smile with veneers is built off careful planning, which includes the development of a prototype (wax-up). The wax-up is a 3D prototype of the desired final result and it will be presented to our patient.
  • Afterward, it can be difficult to envision the way the prototype appears in the patient’s mouth, and its relationship with facial structures. Therefore, we present a mockup to the patient, which will allow them to evaluate the intended final result before any treatment begins.
  • The mock-up is multi-purposeful, as not only does it provide vital information about the treatment, it effectively guides the dentist throughout the execution phase.
