We will advise you to be careful about what you eat after your implant placement. And will recommend cool food that is soft in texture. Patients do regularly ask us what combinations of food they can eat, so I will be outing together a new recipe once a month for you to try out.
Today’s recipe is….. Jacket potato with melted cheese.
It’s quick and easy as you may not feel like cooking. You can cook it in the oven or in a micro wave.
Get some medium size potatoes and cut in half. You can leave them whole, but this way is quicker and looks nice. Sprinkle a small amount of olive oil on your potato halves and put in the oven at gas mark 6. For 30 minutes, you will need to put them in for longer if your potatoes are large or you have kept them whole. When soft all the way through grate a nice cheese, something that will melt nicely like a medium cheddar cheese and out under the grill. Once melted, leave to cool down (you don’t want to aggravate the implant area and encourage swelling by eating hot food) and it’s ready to eat.
