Advantages of Full Bridge Implants
A full mouth fixed dental implants bridge can be used to replace multiple missing teeth, when all teeth from either or both jaws have been lost. The full mouth fixed dental implant bridge will look similar to a person’s natural teeth and will help the person’s face to keep its natural shape.
A fixed dental implants bridge is a non removable bridge which is fitted (cemented or screwed) over dental implants, usually 6 or 8. It can be done on a patient’s full mouth, so there are no worries about having to remove the bridge or about having the bridge come out at an inconvenient moment or time.
Here at the Marylebone Implant Centre our full mouth fixed dental implants bridges are made of porcelain(other practices may use acrylic) which makes the substructure much stronger than an acrylic fixed dental implants bridge (or also known as hybrid restoration), but also in terms of final look, the porcelain bridge looks a lot more similar to natural teeth.
However, this is not an option for every dental patient. This option is considered by dentists only if there is enough tissue and gum in a patient’s mouth to support the arch. It is a great option for patients who want their dental implants to really look natural.
