What is a Full mouth Fixed Bridge?
A full mouth fixed bridge would be fitted over dental implants, usually 6 or 8, and it is not removable. It can be done on a patient’s full mouth, so there are no worries about having to remove the bridge or about having the bridge come out at an inconvenient time.
This can be used to replace a tooth or teeth when there are one or more of them lost. It will look similar to a person’s natural teeth. A fixed bridge is a permanent solution to teeth loss. It will help a person’s face to keep their natural shape. We have a wide range of options waiting for you
At the Marylebone Implant Centre, unlike other practices, our full mouth fixed bridges over dental implants are made of porcelain (in other practices these are made of acrylic).
A full mouth fixed bridge is not an option for every dental patient. This option is considered by dentists only if there is enough tissue and gum in a patient’s mouth to support the arch. It is a great option for patients who want their implants to really look natural.
If you are interested in getting a full mouth fixed bridge, you should talk with the staff at Marylebone Implant Centre to see if you are a candidate. If you have suffered bone loss, you will need to have bone grafting done in order to build up your bone in your jaw.
If the bone loss is not too severe, you can get grafting done on a visit when you have the implant post installed. If the bone loss is severe, bone grafting will have to be done on a separate visit as it will need to heal before the 1 st stage post implant can take place.
